Progress Update: Stiiiiill writing...

Hello, helpful humans! 

Welcome, very unofficially, to winter. 

Last night we received about 6-7 inches of glorious sky-fluff in my area, weighing down branches, taking out powerlines, causing a general nuisance, by and large being very gorgeous all over the dang place. Despite all the shoveling and ice scraping, it's proving to be pretty great weather for writing. Very cozy, very aesthetically appropriate somehow.

Speaking of which, I am still deep in the writing process for the upcoming short story video. Let's talk about how that's going....

Where are we now?

It's been a weird time on my end, lots of changes happening in my personal life and in certain parts of the brand. The show will always roll on, but I've needed some additional time to re-calibrate in light of everything. It's very likely I'll share more about this soon. For now, I'm treading lightly and taking things as they come.

In terms of the story, this has been an interesting experience. I feel I've been learning a lot as a writer, particularly when it's appropriate to garnish a scene with exposition about a character's emotional status and when it's best to let those things stay implicit. The showing and telling of character emotion. It's a tricky thing, and I'm hoping at some point to cover it on the show in order to expand my knowledge on it.

I think I've finally nailed it for this particular story though, and the writing is coming together a  lot more smoothly at this point. I expect 3-5 more days for the writing, but don't quote me on that!

What's next?

Tons of exciting stuff really, we've just gotta take things one step at a time. Funds are tight at the moment with Vidcon coming up in February and the scope of the show has gotten quite large over the last year. We'll be taking some measures soon to shore up new productions costs and reduce the time it takes to produce videos very soon.

For now though, all my attention is really going into writing this short story.
