Hello, Helpful Humans and Engineers of the foundry!
I've been having an immensely good time reading Good Omens over the last couple weeks and I'm absolutely stoked to chat about it with all of you on Friday! If you want to contribute to the conversation, definitely try to get some reading in before then.
Otherwise, don't worry! I'll give you a little synopsis and dig into my favorite parts as usual. No reading truly required.
The Foundry Forge
When: Friday, November 23rd, 6:30-7:30pm CST
Where: The Tale Foundry Discord server, in the #the-foundry-forge and #the-foundry-forge-voice channels. Make sure your Patreon account is linked to your Discord account in order to participate (click here to see how). Only Engineers ($10+ patrons) can type in chat, but all patrons can watch and listen.
Topic: This time we'll be discussing Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. As a co-authored book, it plays to the strengths of not only Terry Pratchett, but Neil Gaiman as well. In this session, we'll spend some time picking out the distinctly-Pratchett parts of the story and attempting to learn from them for the upcoming Terry Pratchett series.
Remember: It's a "forge" session because the ultimate goal is to learn and make something up together. Be ready to give your thoughts and your opinions, and feel free to share any resources you might have at your disposal!
