Progress Update: Brain Difficulties

Hello, fellow fleshy folks. 

I hope your week is treating you well so far! It's time to sit down and have a chat about this infinitely-delayed list video we're currently working on...

Aaaand some other, more positive things beside!

Where are we?

In terms of the current video? Literally everything is finished except for asset placement on the timeline, audio syncing, and thumbnail creation. Those aren't necessarily small tasks, but they're comparatively small.

But boy has this process been a nightmare. I'll be frank: as a team, we've been under a ridiculous amount of emotional stress lately. Between changes to our living situation, figuring out the organization of roles within the Foundry, my concussion, and other less mention-able (but perhaps more poignant and impactful) items, it's been... a hard time.

Long story short, explicit story vague, I'll be seeking psychiatric help in October. We were able to find a clinic that will see me despite my lack of insurance and relatively low overall income brackety. The meeting is already set up. So, with any luck, that should be a great relief.

In the mean time, I'm just trying to focus on my career and our amazing community. That means bringing you guys the content you've been waiting for. I've been saying this for more than a week, but expect the video very soon. 

On the upside, this one is pretty long (17+ minutes) and may be one of the most practical videos we've ever produced. So although the wait has been ridiculous, at least the end result will be worthy~

What's next?

Well, first item on the list is something you guys just voted for in yesterday's poll: I'll be filming a sneak peek of the creative process behind our forthcoming bookmark merch item! Expect that on Thursday. I'm very excited about it!

We've also signed up for a really neato local Patreon workshop! Apparently they're going to have a look at what we're doing here and provide professional input about how we can improve the experience. That definitely doesn't mean we'll be changing anything all of a sudden. I think we're mostly just excited to meet other creators and get some feedback about our approach!

Finally, we're planning to begin our regular AMAs and Livechats soon! Expect an announcement about that in the near future.

Anything else?

I can't express what it means to have a support network of friends and fans through this difficult period. It's been a good long while since we've uploaded a single video now, and you're all still here, cheering us on.

It's sappy, and I do it often, but thank you. I don't know where we'd be without all of you, but it wouldn't have been a good place.
