The top-floor suite at New Lanark turned out to be the perfect studio โ tall windows, soft stone walls, and sunlight pouring in from every direction.
With no need for lamps or filters, the natural light did all the work: reflecting from pale walls, tracing every curve, catching small movements in ways artificial light never can. The space felt calm and private, a world of its own above the village.
I spent the afternoon exploring how light interacts with latex โ brightness against shadow, texture meeting glass and fabric. Some shots came out bold and glossy, others quiet and almost painterly.
This gallery shares that session: natural light, no distractions, just the rhythm of the camera and the shine of the material.
