You misread. He got a billion from the queen for the contract, the hundred mil was fronted for the ten thousand potions he was making for Zatanna.

2025-04-21 19:58:27 +0000 UTCIt's a one time deal anyway. He doesn't need money after Tin, so in the future he'll be negotiating for gear or mats. The main benefit is getting the cash he needs fast and establishing good contacts.

Oh well, it’s a one time deal so he can negotiate later. but the rings on top of all that was a massive ripoff. Only saving grace is they provide the materials, so he can use high quality stuff to level up fast. But past that point probably best not to do that any more since what is valuable is his time/skill and if he doesn’t place a value on it no one will. Will wait and see (commented before finishing chapter incase I sleep first).
