Added 2022-03-01 04:43:56 +0000 UTCProgress on the Goldeneye video is good - I've got a script with about 2/3 of the audio pieced together, I've got a full playthrough of the game recorded (plus or minus some hitching videos that will need to be re-shot) and I've got this... the entire back half of the episode.
For 1998, I'm probably not going to do another big long look at a bunch of stuff like this - I feel like I'd rather do a full page for 3 really important titles than a paragraph or two for just about every thing I can get my hands on. It takes up way too much time - not just in playing all these games, but often just getting these things to run. They are *old!*
Anyways, the full Goldeneye video should be soon, but this ~27 minute "Elsewhere in 1997" bit should hopefully tide you over and prove that I am, in fact, workin' on this stuff.
Now, to figure out whether to do anything about that copyright detection hit for the 10 seconds of the Star Wars intro the video uses...

Fully understand the time and constraints involved in putting together these "elsewhere" videos, but I gotta say they're my favorite part of this series. During this window, I was obsessively reading gaming magazines, and your overviews of these titles really take me back. More than that, I actually think it's important historical archiving work you're doing. If it's too much for this series, I'd welcome seeing them broken out. In any event, love the work and can't wait to watch this!
