Marathon: Children of Doom 4 (Draft)

As prophesied, here is the new episode of Children of Doom! I talk about Marathon! And probably a little too much about Half-Life!
I'm a little nervous about this one; I know most of the fanbase for Marathon tends to view the series collectively this far out and I'm not sure how they'll take a neophyte looking at just the first entry. Still, I really learned a lot from playing through it!

Myth was all about the AI and level design, which then built back into Marathon as Halo's world stuff? I wish you could look at Myth and Myth 2. They're just a more chess-like game I really liked.

2020-08-03 03:20:56 +0000 UTCThere's something ironic about the widescreen footage displaying all the sprites too skinny. Or maybe that's true to the original game--they're mostly aliens after all, so maybe they're supposed to be weird--but even the humans seemed off to me.
