Lucah: Born of a Dream

This month's video is up! It talks about a game that deals obliquely with some heavy subjects (yay?), but also is really fun to play (yay!).

Talkin' about indie games is kinda hard.  I know my normal schtick is to do deep reads of games, but it's hard to do that with smaller titles - so few people have played them that I'm hesitant to engage in full-on spoiler discussions and deep dives, but at the same time I'm really not a fan of falling into more review-y language about how great a game is to play.  I sort of tried to split the difference here but... it's hard.  I want to cover more smaller, lesser known stuff, but figuring out how to approach that material successfully without it becoming a straight-up game review (or some sort of "hey check this thing out" thing) still illudes me.

Anyways!  We're going into October, which means Halloween season! Be on the look out for some videos about spoopy games coming soon!

Spoiler away, man. There’s just no way I’ll ever play ALL these games through ^-^

Interesting as ever. Thought it was time to become a Patron. Have enjoyed your videos for year or so. Thanks for all the constructive critique.

It actually gave me memories of Mortis Ghosts' Off - a sort of surrealist quasi-horror tone done through sketchy art... and also there's a subway section?

Oh wow, this is the most starkly I've been reminded of Space Funeral in a hot minute.
