Night in the Woods (Spoilers!)

Anyways, I took at look at Night in the Woods, which was a weird game to write about because it's got a ton of stuff to talk about but it wears its thematic content on its sleeve. Like, some games you have to dig a bit to get to the "What is this even about?" part, but Night in the Woods makes it pretty clear from the outset that it's about a town struggling to survive and a woman struggling to be an adult and invites comparisons between them. But there's *so much* meat that ties this whole thing together that I really really enjoyed talking about it. It's one of those games I wouldn't mind revisiting again in another context some day, after some time has passed.
Also I've had Die Anywhere Else stuck in my head for, like, two weeks, so...

The gist I'm getting from the video though, is it's a lot of Buffy if it were a game — cuteness and set dressing, using supernatural to tell a story about real life and real problems of growing up. How does this differ from the devil game reviewed earlier, do you think?
