Awesome Video Games Production Update #1
Added 2016-03-28 19:19:24 +0000 UTC(Sorry for a double email some of you will have recieved. This was sent to the VGA Patreon by mistake. I gotta get used to having two accounts on here.)
Hey ya Dudes and Dudettes!
There is not much to report in this inaugural "production update" (these need a better name).
Bec has cleaned out the room that will be used for shooting the majority of AVG. Previously that was used for storage of costumes and props for VGA. Somehow, Becky has crammed those things elsewhere in various nooks and crannies around our house (the bedroom doesn't have much walking space now).
A meeting took place with Kyle, and preliminary brainstorming has been done for this new season's set design. We are looking at a more realistic basement rumpus room feel. Think: less video game paraphernalia, more family photos.
As far as Frash is concerned: the first episode has got to make it's final steps out of my brain and onto a page where props and costumes can be finalized into an actionable list for Becky to work on. This little vacation we are just now wrapping up in Florida has been a great place for daydreaming up some new stuff I had not thought of until now.
I have also been doing lighting tests in the now bare spare room. It is a challenge to get the high key lighting we are used to in such a small space, but I have purchased a few different pieces of equipment to test before coming to a final solution. Like most things with me, it is all about seeing stuff in action and on a screen before I am happy with a production aesthetic.
As things stand, we would love to have an episode out by the end of April which would allow us to cash in on the initial costs we are plunking down, and prevent us from sticker-shocking you guys with multiple episodes within a single month (which I think is a possibility in May).
If you have any questions or thoughts, please leave them in the comments! Just keep in mind I may not answer everything based on the element of surprise I wanna maintain for certain aspects of the plot!

Video Games AWESOME!
2016-04-26 02:18:45 +0000 UTCJust wondering if i miss the Live tapping will there be a recorded version or no?
2016-04-25 22:18:52 +0000 UTCGreat to hear! The thing about multiple episodes in a single month is that some people (like myself) may have set a monthly limit on pledges which i'm not sure if you knew about already or not. I don't have a lot of money so i've had to cap mine at a max of 1 per month just so that i can be sure.
2016-04-08 15:08:03 +0000 UTCAbsolutely.
Awesome Video Games
2016-03-29 21:37:14 +0000 UTCGreat to hear about progress! Just don't rush it, release when they're ready! We, the audience, can wait. As someone who would love to get on that fan-fueled-elbow-grease train, I understand that you'd need people who can contribute skills to the show, not simply ideas. Are you able to gauge the kind of work that you'd be most likely to utilize fans' services for? Say for example, upping the ante (or even just delegating the work) for cheesy visual effects, producing episode-specific intermission bumpers, fancy editing for extra-special sequences, etc? (Also, sorry if my comment appeared in your emails more than once. The enter key sends comments, who knew??)
