My friends, after editing the video I returned to the workbench and applied a pin wash mixed from oil paints (Industrial Earth from 502 Abt.)
This was a rather quick job because the IS-2 doesn't have as many surface details as, let's say A7V, and because I still had some time, I also added the rust tones on the turret. This is the step I've been looking forward to the most because rust works perfectly on Soviet 4BO, making it look richer and more interesting without "over-rusting" the surface as it would on German yellow.
The only setback is my bottle of Streaking Rust Effects, it seems that after 3 or so years it finally started losing its quality and now it tends to dry to a glossy finish in a few places. Well, gotta order a new bottle and hit those spots with flat varnish!
Anyway, just need to finish the rust washes on the hull and it'll be ready for dust and mud!
