Moar texture

My friends, the turret is now fully textured and ready to be finished with some missing details and weld beads!

This was a real blast. Following references, I removed the pre-molded weld beads, scribed the seam line at the bottom and added the "scars" using a rotary bit. Then I stippled the cast surfaces with lots of modelling cement, followed by another round of stippling with diluted Tamiya putty. After this step, I dabbed some undiluted putty here and there and smeared it with my fingers. This added nice raised texture. The seam lines and casting flaws were filled with epoxy putty and textured with a blunt hobby blade. Welds were added the usual way, but the multiple pass welds (such as the one around the roof) were again textured with a hobby knife. Finally, I decided the steel sprue remnants at the bottom of the turret were too subtle, so I re-sculpted them from epoxy putty and once again, added the rough flame cuts with the opposite edge of a hobby knife.

Now I just need to add the grab handles, some missing details and welds and the turret will be ready!

Of course, hatches are not glued in place because... figures!
