Killwager/BLKOUT Miniatures - First Look
Added 2024-06-12 12:50:51 +0000 UTCA little Patreon-exclusive video to take a look at the Killwager minis I recently ordered. I also got 4 civilians, but they're much less interesting.
However, I thought I'd also tell you all that, although I am looking at the BLKOUT rules, I specifically bought these minis to feature in the photography for Zero Dark: Operation Kurgan, but you'll hear me mention in this video that I have previously bought minis from Enemy Spotted Studios, before they did their Killwager Kickstarter.
Well, while I was uploading this video, I went to my display case to find those minis and... well, it turns out I bought more than I remembered. I have a whole extra team of six minis in there, including a fancy mini carrying a bag with a load of currency tipping out of it. And a combat hyena. Like, a literal hyena in a combat harness.
Anyway, the upshot is that I seem to have accidentally bought two whole forces for BLKOUT, assuming I can do a little proxying. And the reason I never used the original minis in my photography is because they were just a smidgen taller than my other minis for the photography and I felt they didn't quite fit. But now I have two teams, two robots, a hyena, a VIP and four other civilians, it feels like I've got enough to start putting them in the photography.
The original set of minis got quite a swift paintjob, but I'm going to give them a touch up to make them look just a little more finished and polished before I get them in front of the camera.
