I seem to have lost Operation Kurgan
Added 2023-07-05 14:59:01 +0000 UTCI was planning on using Zero Dark: Operation Kurgan as a palate cleanser between sessions working on the minutiae of Midnight Dark. But I've turned my hard drive upside down and inside out, as well as my back-ups on Google Drive and the damn thing has vanished.
Fortunately, I posted some of the fiction, draft rules and missions on here in forms that, whilst not as polished as what I had, are at least good enough to strip for parts.
This is definitely, as the saying goes, "a bit of a bugger". But it might still turn out to be a blessing in disguise. The old ADHD brain never really stops thinking and I've been pondering a lot of bits of Operation Kurgan over the last two years since that project hit a creative block, and this might just be the rocket that the whole thing needed to get some momentum going.
To prevent this sort of thing happening again, I may just have to post more plain text versions of my rules here as a back-up back-up. That would be a terrible shame, wouldn't it?

I'll be honest, although extracting everything from the Patreon posts was a pain in the neck, it's really broken my writer's block and I've developed what I think are going to be some cool new features for the supplement, including rules for a non-hostile Red Force for PvP missions. I've found that in PvP games, it's been hard to get teams to engage each other with the Red Force in the way, in some missions. So having the Red Force be unpredictable civilians should be a good switch.
