I gotta job

Just touching base to keep you guys up to speed.

If you follow @precinctomega on Instagram at all, you'll know that I've been ploughing relentlessly through a range of items, largely focused on terrain for Horizon Wars: Midnight Dark, but also including a bunch of new stuff for Zero Dark: Operation Kurgan.

Text layout is looking pretty good, so I'm keen to add some illustrations and photographs to start fleshing out the book towards finished status.

A minor hiccup occurred because, like a dimwit, I forgot to tie off my end-of-financial-year paperwork with HMRC and ended up with a bill for £200 which unfortunately had to come out of my art budget and has presented a little bit of a setback to having enough money in the ol' pot to cover the bill for Mike's and David's work.

Consequently, I'm going to be running some promotions on Wargame Vault for discounts on some of the digital editions of my products on there. If any of you haven't bought something you'd like to, or know someone who'd like to buy something, and would like the additional motivation of a discount, then drop me a message here or at precinctomega@gmail.com. Whilst there will be public promotions on WGV, I can sort my patrons out with a little extra something.

Unfortunately, I can't really discount the print editions because I'm only just scraping a profit on those after the costs of printing are deducted from the price.

Anyway, to the title of this post: yes, I has a job again. It's a new short-term contract. I'll be working inside the NHS for a few months (ugh). I still plan to take a chunk of time off in September or October to finalize and release Midnight Dark plus a whole heap of promotional stuff along the way. My current agreement is up to early September and hopefully it won't need to be extended much beyond that.
