I'm not good at conventions. They tend to be too many people, too quickly, and my normally invisible social-anxiety that I keep comfortably medicated with pork pies and karate bubbles over until I'm a non-functioning wreck.

However, I've always had a good time at Chillcon. It seems to be just the right size for me and attract the kind of crowd I like. I'm probably also well disposed to any convention where I've won painting competitions every time I've attended (no pressure!).

Anyway, all of that is a preamble to the fact that I'll be at Chillcon on 20th August, running simple demos of Horizon Wars: Zero Dark, showing off previews of the Kickstarter minis (which will be in full swing by then), and selling copies of the books (and any other minis I can squeeze into the car).

If any of my patrons would like to come along and spare me an hour or so of assistance, I will happily pay for your ticket* and lunch to say "thanks".

*Event ticket, not plane ticket!
