I'm nearly back (Discord Session?)

Quite a few patrons have, very understandably, wandered off over the last few months on the grounds of getting nothing for their investment. The fact that so many of you are still here is little short of a miracle and very humbling to have you continue to pitch in to keep this show on the road.

I am now actively making plan for Precinct Omega going forward - not only with new content but also with a more intelligent and better structured programme of work. It feels a lot like starting from scratch (again) and it's simultaneously intimidating in terms of the scale of what I'm setting up for myself and invigorating because of the excitement it offers.

My first order of business is to raise enough money to pay back the personal loans I've made to the company to keep it afloat. The passive income from Patreon and a handful of sales have helped to keep body and soul together, but some big tax bills really cleaned out the reserves and I have to pay off PO's debts and rebuild that rainy day fund.

One thing I utterly failed to do was a cashflow forecast.

I worked on the principle that, if I could make sure enough cash was coming in, it didn't matter if I had a forecast. But not having one meant that I was basing my planning around me rather than around when things needed to be done in order to generate income and then working back from there to make realistic appraisals of what was possible.

This is a lesson learned. I was too indulgent of my personal whims and not sufficiently professional in my approach to running and managing a business.

With that in mind, then, my main priorities for Precinct Omega are to aggressively and persistently market my products; to develop those products to improve their quality and reception; to create new products to feed into the development and marketing cycle; and to effectively manage the cashflow and income forecasts for Precinct Omega.

All of these priorities still stand firmly behind my original strategic objective of creating a sustainable personal income from this business.

Right now, though, I'm in planning phase through to the end of June.

Anyway, Discord has been pleasingly active in recent weeks and I was thinking about doing some Discord sessions, trying to get the technology working to do live chat and maybe even record some stuff - most likely on a Sunday for the time being, mid-afternoon UK time.

Anyone up for it?
