It was a delight to dust off some of the classic art that Nicolas Giacondino did for Skrapyard back in the day and re-use it in Blood & A Black Flag.
I was also pleased to get permission from Iain Lovecraft (yes, really) to use his pirate designs to illustrate the example diagrams in the rules. Hopefully a picture will tell a thousand words and make everything a lot clearer.
Anyway, the up-shot is that Blood & A Black Flag is - by my estimation - now ready to meet its public.
Defence Mech and Combat Mech patrons will get a voucher a free copy.
Heavy Elite patrons will get one for 50% off.
Elite patrons will get 30% off.
EWOp patrons will get 20% off.
I'll post the vouchers once the game is live and will limit the number of vouchers to the number of patrons in those categories on the day of release, so get 'em while they're hot!
However, before I push the red button and drop a new game into the infoverse, this is your last chance to point out any glaring errors.
I think I've caught most of the spelling and grammar errors. I've fixed a few cases of misgendering. And, as mentioned, I've added diagrams to illustrate some of the less intuitive components. But if I've spelled your name wrong in the credits (Heavy Elite patrons and upwards), or have contradicted myself in the text, or written a needlessly wordy rule that could be trimmed down by 10% or more, this is your chance to speak up and let me know.
Of course, as the book will only be a PDF for at least the first three months, I'll be able to fix anything we miss for a while, yet. But if you wanted to get something off your chest, now's your chance.
