Yep, still here.

Quick update:

First, I'm OK. My frustrations and stresses are professional, not personal. Your support and encouragement are hugely appreciated but you do not need to add me to your own list of worries and concerns.

Second, taking the decision to postpone FEAR and the other Zero Dark supplements has been a very good one - a weight off my shoulders and a fire under my imagination.

I have been working a little on the game I'm building for the GDT series, but I don't want to get too far ahead of the videos, so I've put that aside somewhat and turned to another thing I've been wanting to do for a while: Skrapyard.

There are a number of things I'm not happy with in the existing Skrapyard rules (which you guys can get here if you've not already looked at them), but the rules themselves aren't one of them. To some extent, I'd say that it's a better game than Horizon Wars or Zero Dark.

However, it's a bit over-written, and the setting doesn't encourage the kind of miniatures agnosticism I'd prefer. So I'm taking a hatchet to the rules and re-jigging them into something worth selling again. Naturally, you guys will get sight of a beta version very shortly.

This is with a view to just getting shit written and out there to buy, without messing about with art and suchlike.

Once this is done, I'll get back to Ballmonsters. Although I'll be writing this from scratch it will, again, be a quick job of "write and publish ASAP". And hopefully, by the time that's done, this GDT game will also be done (it does have a name, but I'm keeping that back for a future episode).

And finally - I'm off to get some physio on my back this morning. Being in a state of permanent mild-discomfort-rising-to-excruciating-pain hasn't been good for me, either, so it'll be interesting to see what they can do for me and what advice I get.
