New Patron Levels - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

OK, folks,

A while ago, now, I explained on the Discord that I was looking to switch my income currency from USD (which was the only option when I joined) to GBP (which is my actual national currency) and how this would necessitate an adjustment in the patron levels.

Having had no one raise a huge objection, I'm going to launch this today, so you'll see your patron level change as follows:

$2 -> £1.50

$3 -> £2.25

$5 -> £3.75

This represents a smallincrease in the actual value of your contribution based on today's exchange rates as seen at http://xe.com, but is - within a few pennies - an equivalent level to your current expenditure.

If you aren't backing at a specific level (a few of you are backing at a specific value in your national currency that doesn't align with the patron levels precisely) then you should see no change in your contribution (but let me know if you do).

Later this week, I will also add a £7.50 "Combat Mech" level.

Initially, the "Combat Mech" level will only be for patrons who simply want to support the project and who have the wherewithal to do so. I don't expect anyone to support this campaign beyond their financial means and if you find yourself in financial straits and need to cancel your patronage, that's totally cool. You are still welcome to contact me at precinctomega@gmail.com any time with thoughts and ideas.

In due course, I will be adjusting the patron levels up a smidge. When I started the Patreon, the pound sterling was at a low point on international exchange rates and nearly at 1:1 equivalency with US dollars. But now a dollar is only worth about 70% of a pound so, in real terms, I've lost nearly 30% of the value of your support in exchange rates once its converted into USD over the last 20 months of the campaign.

So by the end of the year, those patron levels will go up to £2, £3, £5 and £10 respectively. However, I will also add a £1 "EWOp" level for those who just want basic content and will ramp up the content for those on the Elite and Heavy Elite levels.

Those of you with an annual subscription, of course, won't see these increases take effect until your next subscription is due. This means that, if you want to secure Precinct Omega content at your current rate for the next 12 months, now is the time to switch to an annual subscription.

The GBP rates will be in place in the next six hours. I won't be raising these rates, though, for at least another three months.
