New Rewards & Opportunities

In response to requests, I am going to start releasing a Mission of the Month each month on the 1st of the month, starting in May. For May and June, these will be Zero Dark missions and will, at least initially, be exclusively for Defence Mech patrons.

From July, we will alternate months, with a mission for Infinite Dark in July. However, I'm setting a new funding goal for the Patreon. If I can reach $500 per month, I will double up: every month will mean a mission for both games.

Anyway, to begin with Defence Mechs will get first draft versions of the missions from Operation Kurgan, the next operation manual for Zero Dark. In addition to the mission itself, there will be some snippets of the narrative behind the story, plus any new rules you'll need to play the mission itself.

However, I haven't forgotten my other patrons! (I love you all equally, not proportionately to your wallet size, I swear)

Heavy Elite patrons will also get access to new rules content in a "Rule of the Month" release. So even if you don't get the mission for which the rules are necessary, you'll be able to toy with the new rules or come up with your own missions to put them into practice. These may be new actions, new upgrades, new deployment options, new bogeys... all kinds of stuff.

Finally, I'm also opening up a Mission Report of the Month contest, exclusively for all patrons. To enter, all you have to do is play a Horizon Wars: Zero Dark or Horizon Wars: Infinite Dark mission and write it up (or record a video). The best write-up each month will win a prize. The prize might be a signed, print version of the rules (if you only have a PDF or want a second copy to give away, or you own ZD but want ID or vice versa), some Precinct Omega merch, or a miniature or two from my collection. I'll discuss the prize with each month's winner.

Mission Reports need to be sent to precinctomeg@gmail.com each month by 16th of the month to be eligible for that month's prize. There are no limits on how many reports any given patron sends me but, obviously, quality will count over quantity. Your reports will be posted here, on my blog and in Tabletop Games UK, with credit.

I encourage you to be imaginative, but key factors will be how well the report highlights both the mechanics and narrative of the mission, how well illustrated it is - including the quality and quantity of painted minis and terrain - and how little editing it requires for publication. Missions don't have to be published by Precinct Omega and you are welcome to write reports for your own missions, but you will need to include the details of the mission in the report for it to be a contender.
