Infinite Dark - Final pre-Beta Edition

Here we go: the final pre-beta edition is a better-looking creation than the last one, with some graphical flourishes to give you a hint of where I'm heading with the rulebook layout.

I've started talking to a graphic designer about getting some nice illustrations of the rules made, but I also need to talk to my other artist about interior illustrations, so if you've got some suggestions of things you'd like to see, throw them at me!

Next one should be the first, actual beta edition by late Feb/early March, with all of the planned rules in there.  There are only a few things still missing from this.

The plan is that you guys will get the beta first, with it being made public (via the Patreon) 3-4 weeks later.  Subsequent versions of the beta will be just for patrons, otherwise I'll end up flooding the place with beta versions that are all subtly different.  Then we should be good to go with the final rules by the end of May.

I've got a lot more painting and photography to be getting on with between now and then!

The art I absolutely want to see the most is a mech landing on an enemy craft about to either shoot or punch through the canopy. For an extra gritty take you can show both pilots making eye contact before the killing blow. Optionally, it could be from the POV of the non-mech pilot looking out the canopy at our incoming doom. I don't know about anyone else but the rules for mechs boarding enemy craft have been some of the most evocative.
