Halloween Hobby Zoom? - And an update

I'm all guns out for the final straight towards Operation Nemesis.  It's all very exciting.  But it has meant that, other than podcast episodes, I've been neglecting my patrons a little, recently.

I suspect it's unconnected, by I've also not had a great couple of months for retention.  All of you new patrons are super-welcome!  I won't embarrass you by calling you out by name, but you're awesome.  Please do take some time to look back at old posts.  I should try to do some sort of post to collate the most recent, interesting stuff for new patrons to see all in one post.

Meanwhile, as predicted, the economy is taking a bite on people's disposable income.  I've had some truly touching messages from patrons who've had to cancel their support, assuring me of their enthusiasm for following the project and how much they like the content. I wish them well and hope that better times are ahead - not least so they can come on back again!

But we've got some cool stuff on its way.

I've got the first test edition of Infinite Dark nearly finished.  This has been through a few iterations, but I finally feel like I'm writing a game that is an entirely new thing, rather than just another spaceship combat game.  I'm sure patrons who are also game designers can testify that, sometimes, when you hit on just the right idea and combination of ideas, a game just seems to explode from your imagination onto the page.  And this is finally happening with Infinite Dark.  I had planned to have thi s in your hands before the end of January, but it's going so well that it might end up being before the end of November!

Second, we've got some nice progress on Antediluvium.  For newcomers, this the prequel to Zero Dark, set on Earth before the Fall, and explores some of the underlying problems that led to that disaster through the lens of cyberpunk gang warfare.  So if you've already bought Human Interface minis and are looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 but you don't like Reality's Edge, then this might be the game for you.  Antediluvium will be a supplement for Zero Dark with a different approach to hero creation and a greater emphasis on manipulating your environment.

I hope to have a draft version for patrons by the end of January, now.

Meanwhile, plans for the miniatures Kickstarter are well advanced, but patrons at the Defence Mech level will get access to the STLs for free as soon as they are ready.  Heavy Elites will get the STLs when the Kickstarter launches and Elites will get them when it finishes.  All of my patrons will have the exclusive opportunity to buy resin versions of the master minis as soon as the resin moulds are done.  Resin masters will be exclusive to patrons as long as I can keep them in production.

And finally... We had a great time at the last Hobby Zoom, those of us who could make it.  I'd like to do it again.  So I'm looking at 1600-1800 UK time (UTC+01) on Saturday 31st October.  Yes, that's right - a Halloween Hobby Zoom!  I've got some super-spooky zombie and vampire minis to paint, so this seems like the perfect opportunity to get them finished.

Anyone fancy joining me, I'll post the details here closer to the date.

Wil try to make it...

You make a good point! Yes, UTC.

Last time was good so I'll try to reserve the time on the 31st. The UK clocks will have changed by then, so will it be UTC not UTC+1?
