For what it's worth, as someone who just became a patron during the last month, I have been blown away by the amount of engagement that Robey has with his community (here and on the FB community). I support creators on this platform that are both far less responsive, and who produce less content on a monthly basis. The fact that Robey is so concerned about giving to his patrons and holds himself to such a high standard has re-framed the way I think about Patreon, and made me more critical of other creators. All that said, I too feel like there is enough here to validate taking payments, but more importantly I feel like it is important to acknowledge the commitment to community that Robey has made.
