I thought I'd share this with you guys.

I was chatting with one of you on the Discord (currently only for Defence Mech patrons, but this will change in September) about a Heavy Gear Blitz version of Horizon Wars that he's working on and he pointed me toward Shiny Games, who I immediately respect for trading on the fact that they don't stock GW products :D.

Anyway, I was browsing through the Heavy Gear stuff, because I've always like the aesthetic but never pushed the button on a purchase, and I absent-mindedly added a Lynx to my basket - I mean, my finger literally twitched on the mouse when I happened to be passing over the "Add to Basket" button. My conscious brain was entirely uninvolved.

But then I looked more closely at the mini.

Hm, I thought. That would be a great Horizon Wars metaformer.

Hmm, I thought. That would also be a great synthetic on a motorcycle for Zero Dark. Except that it wouldn't leave the motorcycle behind when it moved.

Hmmm, I thought. A synthetic special ally that transforms into a motorcycle so it gets the advantages of a motorcycle but doesn't have to leave it behind to be stolen by an enemy? That sounds like the kind of thing that I wrote Zero Dark to be able to do!

Tempting as it was to put this into Operation Nemesis, the manuscript is now basically done and I don't want to be messing about with adding new stuff at this point. But it does seem like Antediluvium has just found its first special ally...

And, like, it's already in my basket...

I'll just see if I can be tempted by anything else...
