In a slight change to our published plans...

If you've already seen the Fireside chat video, this is a summary of the important points, which I'm repeating here for those who may not have the time or inclination to watch a video.

Those of you who know me IRL or who have paid attention to some of my general media presence will be aware that, before I decided to sack it all in and do this full time, I was a moderately senior and well-regarded professional in the world of small enterprise Human Resources.

A contact from those days has asked me to do some consulting on a tricky project for a month or two and, after much consideration, I have agreed.  This will mean two important things:

1. There will probably be an impact on the release date of Operation NEMESIS which will, therefore, not see the light of day until the end of September or beginning of October, rather than the end of August.

2. A substantial cash injection for Precinct Omega that will guarantee my ability to keep working full-time on this for the foreseeable future.

I do not take a postponement in the delivery of NEMESIS lightly and have agreed to this only because I think it will have a significant impact upon the long-term viability of Precinct Omega as a publisher and game developer.

However, the support of my patrons is enormously important to me and I want you to know that I don't take your money lightly.  As a result I will suspend payments for the beginning of August so no one needs to make a contribution for the months when I'll be working on this HR project; and I will credit everyone who is a patron at the end of July with whatever their level would have been towards their lifetime achievement award regardless of patron tier.

I will review how much work remains to be done for this project in August and may repeat the suspension and LAA credit that month.

Importantly, this is not me giving up on Precinct Omega and going back to HR.  I enjoy my new job far too much and have far too many plans already on the burner to be going back now.  But it will make probable several of those that I thought merely possible, including the Zero Dark playing cards deck Kickstarter and preliminary work on a set of Zero Dark promotional miniatures.

Oh, and I should add that you will still see content posted on the Patreon through July and August.  I won't be going silent.  But rather than working on it 5-6 days a week, I'll be working on it most likely 1 day a week.  I will be seeking to schedule new content ahead of time as much as I can and spreading it out over the coming weeks.  But it's going to few and far between for a little while.
