I know that not everyone wants to have their hobby subjected to critical analysis. I get that. But someone needs to be doing it so they don't have to.

2020-05-22 18:24:55 +0000 UTCAs someone who engages in game critique, I find it utterly remarkable when people push back against discussion of broader social and political context--if you want to take the hobby seriously, surely we must be willing to discuss it somewhat like every other cultural artifact is discussed. Refusing to acknowledge the broader issues is to want to keep your perspective, and your hobby, mired in intellectual infancy.
