Precinct Omega Weekly Miniatures News - Ep 1 (experimental)

Having had pretty positive feedback on my Fireside Chat and Why Patreon? videos, and needing more audio expertise to improve the voiceovers on my future demo videos, I thought I'd branch out and try starting a podcast.

As ever, patrons get first dibs.  As it's supposed to be a weekly news podcast, though, this will probably be the only one you'll get more than 24 hours' early access on!  But I thought I'd post it here to get your thoughts and feedback on the content and presentation.

You can let me know what you think about any part of it.  In particular, though, I'd like to know what you think about the background music.  It's the same piece I use in all my videos (because I bought the right to use it royalty-free quite a while ago and I'm getting my money's worth!), but I wondered - (1) is background music throughout OK?  I found listening to just my voice to be a bit... stark; and (2) if there is going to be background music is this about the right volume?; and (3) if there's going to be background music at any volume, is this OK or should I find something different?

By "this as a concept" I mainly mean the news part, just chatting about game related things is a perfectly good reason to have a podcast

Didn't feel like resurrecting the battlecast then? Not sure about this as a concept, audio isn't the best way to look at an inherently visual medium like miniatures. I'm not very likely to look into new minis unless I've had even a peek at them. Would be better suited to a video, if you really want to get into the "informing people about new mini releases" field. The music is fine, not intrusive at all and a pretty good background tune. Not sure it would be a great idea to have background music when you're talking to someone though. I'd be happy to have a chat with you, can't promise my audio setup is any good but if you need to practice your sound mixing I'm game
