Gamemat.eu Supporting Zero Dark

The guys at Gamemat.eu have helped me out with new scenery and mats to illustrate Operation Nemesis.

These photos show the new mats and the pre-painted resin industrial ruins terrain set.

I will be making use of these for demos and photography for new publications, but in due course I will be giving at least some of this stuff away.

This, by the way, isn't everything I got from Gamemat.eu. But the rest will need more work. There will be a full review and detailed breakdown in due course. But if you've got any questions, let me know. I'm going to see if I can arrange a discount code for patrons once my review is complete!

So far I've never used urgent moves. But I can see their use in getting across an open space. I do like having long lines of fire to contend with. The problem with fixed mats is that you end up with the same layout of long lines of fire in each game. I prefer to mix things up a bit. Getting hold of a few vehicles to put on the roads might help :-)

That's one thing that has kept me from buying some really pretty mats. I guess we could buy larger city layouts and just adjust where you play on the mat to account for the roads

Nice! I'm a big fan of ready to use terrain. One thing I would say about mats with street layouts is they tend to constrain your thinking when it comes to setting up the terrain. I tend to avoid putting building across the middle of a street and so it can generate really long lines of fire down the street.
