Dark Heroes

Taking into account patrons' feedback and, importantly, where I think there's a market to speak of, I think one of the first Zero Dark supplements will be Hero Dark* (Mrs Precinct Omega has suggested an Ancient Rome supplement called Nero Dark, but I'm resisting). The actual first supplement will be a campaign book for the Fallen Earth, picking up the story from the end of Operation Gemini, with three linked operations to play through in solo or coop modes, plus new PvP missions. But although that's cool, I'm really thinking about heroes, now.

Originally, I had classic comic book superheroes in mind, but as I've sketched ideas out, I'm increasingly looking more along the lines of Glass or Kick-Ass than Infinity War. This means that the supplement will focus on extraordinary rather than superhuman individuals.

Hero teams will choose to stand on the sides of Order and Anarchy, whilst heroes themselves may be good, neutral or evil within the same team.

As well as rules for creating your heroes, with a new set of specialisms, gadgets, traits and allies, each hero will have an agenda, based on their alignment, that will earn them extra XP. As you may imagine, this will add a new dimension to coop play if you don't know your team mates' agendas!

The bad guys won't be neglected either. I have plans for special new bogeys (including character bogeys, which you'll encounter first in the Fallen Earth campaign book), new complications, and a full campaign. In fact Hero Dark will have an entirely new setting, probably (but not definitely) unconnected with Horizon Wars.
