Zero Dark Team Roster Cards

A thing I've tried to do with every game I've ever written is to make it so you can fit your "army list" on the back of a business card.  It's not just a funky marketing tool that encourages people to actually keep your business cards and use them, it's also a good piece of mental discipline to ensure that I keep the game itself compact and accessible.

Some people think I dislike complex games.  Well, if you've already become a patron and downloaded the current beta manuscript for Zero Dark, I think you'll agree that this is obviously not true.  I have nothing against complex games.  But I do dislike needlessly complex games.  Some big companies (naming no names) are guilty of this: they let a rules-set become complex because, hey, they have the financial wherewithal that they can make player aids and counters and cards and chips that will keep track of it all so what does it matter?

Me, I like to assume that my players have just enough money to buy the rules and the miniatures and the dice and, after that, everything has to be improvised.  That's why Horizon Wars used two-sided counters - because all you need is a pocketful of pennies and you're good.  And that's why I love making useful business cards: because I can hand them out at events and people feel like they got something practical and they got it for free.

So I'm going to add a new Goal level.  I'm still new to this thing, so I'm not sure if it'll be based on number of patrons or on amount of money, but if I hit it I'll send all of my patrons - anywhere in the world - ten of these cards to give to their friends and get them interested in trying out Zero Dark at their local gaming store or club.

I'll also put up a patrons-only post shortly with the PDF for these business cards attached, so if you want to order a stock of them for yourself, you can just download the PDF and send it to your preferred business cards supplier.  You can make them two-sided or, for cheapness's sake, just do the roster card side.
