It's been about competing with painted work, and this time I've just been looking around, not selling.
In Korea, there are still overwhelmingly many works with scale models, military, and gundam rather than fantasy or SF miniatures.
The pirate I commissioned as a cover was also submitted, and luckily, she won second place in the Historical category. Of course, I didn't paint it, but it was the first time my work went to the competition.
I'm excited with Painter, and I'm constantly trying to give him better works, and I'm constantly giving him a commission.
Personally, my current situation is changing quite quickly.
Last year and early this year, I spent time quietly sitting in my office, in front of my computer, sculpting, but starting this year, I'm attending many events and receiving meaningful requests from others. Maybe I'll have to be more diligent next year.
At the same time, once again, I have to continue my own work. From an entrepreneurial point of view, this hobby market continues to realize that there are not many people to trust. It seems like a market where betrayal and slander are rampant, luring innocent sculptors and artists. Rather than relying on anyone, I think I should increase my influence.
