2025-01-31 16:02:26 +0000 UTCIβm glad you had great management at one of the places you worked. You and Andrea worked Boneyard together? Thatβs so cool.

2025-01-16 01:27:59 +0000 UTCI once worked at Arbys for 3 days in HS to fund a Rainbow Festival trip :P

2024-11-04 18:11:20 +0000 UTCAgreed. The whole album was below par because they had to create it too fast

2024-03-06 19:49:56 +0000 UTCNever been to any of those places but Chef Brock is on some shows I've seen. He seems like he would be a great but intense boss.

2024-02-12 10:24:12 +0000 UTCThere's one by me in Northern Kentucky and it was my favorite place for years 20 years ago but now we don't bother with it π«π«π« I'm always surprised it's still open.

2024-02-03 00:28:20 +0000 UTCDrew, I worked at the OβCharleyβs in Franklin in 1996! Before that in high school I helped to open the first Waffle House in Columbia. Other places Iβve worked include the Brooklyn in downtown Seattle and a variety of places on Lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint Idaho. I love your work and love that we have common roots! Oh yeah, I also worked in a restaurant on top of a mountain at a ski resort. Rode the chairlift to work and skied down after my shift.

2023-11-16 01:49:14 +0000 UTCHungry Cat -- did you work in Santa Monica or the Hollywood location? Sadly they closed a while back.

2023-11-14 18:26:33 +0000 UTCOMG I worked at Country Kitchen in the early 90s. Ours was right across the street from a country like dancing bar (remember that trend) and they would flood us after the bar closed. π

2023-11-14 16:38:59 +0000 UTCYep, it's where the Golden Globes are always hosted.

2023-11-14 16:33:50 +0000 UTCBummer! That loaded potato soup was good!

2023-11-14 16:33:38 +0000 UTCAll I did was counter at McDonaldβs when I was 15, needed money for Duran Duran records. Slipped on grease and fell on my ass delivering a double cheeseburger, hid in the walk-in when a woman ordered 25 Big Macs during dinner rush. But I hit a cool record convention near Chicago after my months of work to start my collection! I still have them to this day, Iβm 56.

2023-11-14 00:27:04 +0000 UTCWhoa! That's quite the resume... I'm from the Midwest so I'm not familiar with any of those establishments. I waitressed through hs, college, grad school & my first 5 years teaching at one establishment, but by the time I was finished it felt like I had worked at several more. The owner kept expanding. He went from a very small, pizzaria with only 2 waitresses per shift to a full blown fine dining Italian restaurant with valet service. (lol)

2023-11-13 20:08:19 +0000 UTCIn all fairness, the last manager I worked for was pretty decent, but the damage was done. Ever see an abused animal trying to be rescued? That was me.π
Gwen
2023-11-13 18:04:14 +0000 UTCThis was actually not part of that chain. It was spelled Capitol. It was a one-off place in this swanky hotel. Iβve never been to a Capital Grill!
Drew Talbert
2023-11-13 17:36:19 +0000 UTCAll the O Charlie's near me are going out of business and I hate it.
Lisa
2023-11-13 17:16:14 +0000 UTCI know Carrabba's π
Ken Forman
2023-11-13 16:50:37 +0000 UTC10 years at Capital Grille. Severe ptsd from one of our managers who embraced a shame based style. Almost every server over 40 was fired during his tenure and as a female over 40 I was told, β do you know how hard it is for someone your age to find a job like this?.β In a much better place now. But it did take about three years to not flinch when a manager said my name.
Gwen
2023-11-13 16:13:47 +0000 UTCRound, round, get-around, you got around...I had one server/short order cook job. I swore, NEVER AGAIN. Never have, but it did teach me a lot about human nature, and making fixing for a meal stretch.
L. Shannon Carter
2023-11-13 16:07:28 +0000 UTCI know of Blimpieβs. But Iβm from the Midwest. Started working at A&W when I was 15 years old (1993), then a waitress at Country Kitchen, then Little Caesarβs until I went to college. Little Caesarβs was my favorite job. I love pizza!
Jennifer Wells
2023-11-13 16:06:49 +0000 UTCI love the "went to work somewhere for two days then went back to my old job" π that's so what I remember from restaurant workπ
Angie Kritenbrink
2023-11-13 16:04:13 +0000 UTCI'm familiar with Blimpie and O'Charleys, (not those specific locations tho), and I've heard of the Beverly Hilton hotel.
