Marya pissed off another gang lord, so Idris informed her that he would probably send someone to kill her or whatever. He did say that the moment the assassin showed up then he would start a war with the guy cos βOh he attacked one of my people so obv I gotta retaliateβ but that isnβt relevant to marya cos she isnβt a gangster and the idea of someone going to attack her is mind-numbingly terrifying. So one day, when sheβs at home alone getting dinner ready she hears someone approaching her, and they are footsteps she doesnβt recognize. So once theyβre as close as she can stand, she kinda swings the knife to πthe guy trying to sneak up on her but itβs just Idris. Yeah thatβs the context π
