2025-07-10 16:52:37 +0000 UTCI think Florence would be THRILLED if her music makes you feel anything witchy, wolf-like, spiritual, mystical, medieval gothic-like, sinister, dark, or pure elation 🧙🏻♀️💫 🌕 🎆 I also forgot how much Lungs has a whole punk vibe running through it (which makes sense now reflecting on the punk rock bands Florence hung out and sang with in her teens and also listened to). It just hit me again when watching your reaction. Something that I hadn't thought of for awhile. 🎸🤩 Some of my favs are Howl, Cosmic Love, Blinding, Falling, Bird Song, and Swimming A couple from the songs you didn't get to on the deluxe that I'd recommend are Hardest of Hearts, and also Heavy in Your Arms which she wrote for the Twilight movie. (Girl With One Eye is a cover so I loved how you started thinking about it as Florence singing as the girl or to herself 💫 your reactions are gold!) Lastly, I think your reaction on YT will be EXTREMELY WELL RECEIVED!!! 🎉🎉There's a HUGE Florence fan base out there that craves reactions like these!! That's my take anyhow - but you know I'm ELATED that you're going ROGUE with a FLORENCE DEEP DIVE 😱🔥🎆✨💕

So happy digging into the lyrics of Dog Days are Over hit you now when you were ready 💖 As always though, your thoughts made me think about songs even more. Howl was on my list to send your way, for obvious reasons 🐺😏, but I never fully thought about Howl as both potential freeing and destructive at the same time 🤯 A few things to know about Florence is that she was terrified about putting the album out and the media exposure was almost paralyzing because it was now all becoming real. A place where song like Rabbit Heart is born - out of the fear of what was to come and being in the spotlight and what labels would and were wanting from her - what is she willing or not willing to sacrifice? Lots of inner turmoil throughout her music as well as romantic relationships. The push pull with her own relationship to her art, her own demons, tendencies. She has been open about her struggle with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and alcohol. But no matter her inspiration for songs I love how her lyrics are full of such imagery and metaphors that they can be interpreted in many ways, like great art does. I can either apply to my relationship with myself, life, work, personal, whatever mood I'm in. However, this is just my interpretation and I know people will have more to add 💕 ✨🦋

2025-07-10 16:27:58 +0000 UTCok so i just finished and i stayed up til 2 am to watch it all (i’m off the next couple days, don’t worry lol), and i am very sleepy but fulfilled and grateful. you reacting to the one line in ‘howl’ made me go ‘this is why i pay for the patreon’ i love to see your passion and love!! and stimming! i was stimming my heart out to my favorites on the record as you were reacting and taking it all in. i’ve been listening to these songs (and florence in general) for over 15 years of my life (i’m 31 now so florence was/is very formative for me) and you were giving me insights to stuff i didn’t fully realize. my absolute favorites when i think of this album that automatically come to mind is ‘between two lungs’ and ‘falling’. they feel so good and mean a great deal to me, especially now knowing i’m autistic. also, ‘you’ve got the love’ is a cover. i would absolutely suggest you delve into the deluxe tracks: ‘heavy in your arms’, ‘addicted to love’ (another cover), ‘hospital beds’, and ‘hardest of hearts’. anywho, i know i really rambled but even though i’m tired i knew i needed to write now or i’d lose the energy if i waited. i am SO excited for this journey with you. florence is one of absolute musical loves (aurora is now up there with her too as well as some others) i am also glad i have found you, it feels like you were placed in my life at the right time
