Thanks for this great reaction Val🥰🥰 “The River” After the single's release, Aurora explained: "It's quite a happy song… it's been a while since I've had a joyful song so it feels very nice. It was inspired by something quite sad as I looked at the suicide rates on this planet and apparently 73% of them were men and then I thought, why is that the case?” “Animal” "Animal is inspired by today's society. There are some strange behaviour patterns in us, that I know we have in common with the animals, and some behaviour that even for the wildest animal, would be too cruel. We are such strange beings, and the song is inspired by the many things I dislike and like about us.” “Dance on the moon” “The song is about a person who is comfortable with their emotional side but feels that the world moves it away from them with its aggressiveness, fear, and hate. The person is only free when they are alone but still recognizes that the world is very bad and wonders if they should sacrifice for it” “Daydreamer” “The song talks about how humans should be daydreamers instead of one-dimensional people with little contact with the world and their true selves.” “Nothing can die while we are here (in our daydreams)❤️ “Hunger” "It’s about all our consuming, the endless hunger for money, food, clothes and how we’ve destroyed the world because of that hunger. We force ourselves to not see the people dying to make you a t-shirt because you're hungry to buy as many T shirts that you can. We waste money and time on things that won't make a difference." “Soulless Creatures” “It means a lot to me and it's written about giving too much. It's Mother Earth writing to humankind about wanting to thrive again.” “In Bottles” This song is connected to “In Boxes” from her debut EP “Running with the wolves”, and is about a woman living in Auroras neighbourhood that scared the children 😳 She wasn’t dangerous or anything, but as you know Aurora has a vivid imagination 😅 “A different kind of human” “I really wanted to make a song to help people cope with death, and to cope with loosing people they love. That’s why I wrote this song” “Apple Tree” “Apple Tree is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. In a bleeding world the power of the individual is our only hope.” “The Seed” A cry for Mother Earth 💕 “Mothership” During an interview with Dork, Aurora stated the song is "a hint for way, way, way more forward in the future." When asked by Dagsavisen if the line "the good ones always die" was inspired by someone in particular she said: "Yes, but there are also more. Everyone who dies too young. There are a couple of people in my life who have passed away early, and there are a couple who have taken their own lives. The world became too painful for them to be in.”
