2025-03-12 23:24:09 +0000 UTCI can't say too much about this now as it will become clearer later on in your journey - but I believe many of the times she says 'she' in these poems (e.g. "she told the townspeople I was crazy"), she's referring to her mother.

2025-02-21 15:29:01 +0000 UTCI think the part "teach then about water and warn them about fire" is about the fires that are known to happen in LA and the fact that 2019 and 2020 people in LA were told to conserve water. Of course that's a very literal interpretation. So I guess it can be metaphorically referring to other things.

I don't know if anyone told you this before, but did you knowthat she wrote a second poetry book called "Behind iron gates: insights from an Institution" but her pc was stolen from her car and the manuscript was lost forever (there was a reason why she didn't uploaded it to the cloud but I don't remember why). I'm so excited to watch it all!!! :)

2025-02-20 20:12:41 +0000 UTCi think this project carries a bit more meaning once a person knows that when she first said “i don’t want to sell my stories anymore – stop pushing me” she literally meant it. before this was released she talked about how she wanted this poetry collection to be free but that that’s not realistic so she chose $1, but that’s in no way realistic either so it was priced the way it was HOWEVER she said every sale automatically goes to native american repartition instead of her own earnings. so she technically still “earned nothing”in a sense but still did it the only way a person like her *could* earn nothing, that alone is a poem a fan can write by itself and that alone somehow paratextually turns this poetry collection into a poem as is
