OMG! That line is SO good! And that is so cool hearing some of the bts of her writing process! Hopefully there is an interview or something I can watch with her talking about that.

2025-01-14 01:48:09 +0000 UTCIn Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind, I LOVE that you picked up on the “what if my contribution could be as small as hoping that birds could turn to words and birds would send my thoughts your way” - that’s one of my absolute favourite lines of hers, and I adore that it stood out to you too. I believe Lana has spoken about how she was watching her good friend Father John Misty (the man in the Freak & Ultraviolence music video) perform, while she was sat with his wife in the crowd. I think she said something along the lines of being so inspired to write afterwards, that she pulled over on the drive home from the festival and wrote it there and then. Loved this reaction as always Val, you’re so articulate and observant, it really makes me so happy to see you enjoy and actively want to explore the complexity of her work and writing!!
