It's one of those milestones I've dreamed about for years.

Oh, how far we've come! But long is the road left yet to go.

This one got out of hand pretty handsomely. It's almost three times the length of Side Story A. The plan was to keep these extra episodes short and simple, but the narrative kept on growing in the writing process. Rather than a mere bonus, it might be better described as Verse 5.5, as it is.

I made the noble claim that you'll miss nothing by skipping the side stories, but it's not like they're completely cut off from everything. The stories do contain some vital characterization and developments that in turn set the stage for the future parts. It's not like you can't live without them, but they do add to the whole, I believe.

Anyway, hope you'll like this one. I did the best I could and had a lot of fun writing it.

I planned this story already about a year ago, but it got unexpectedly relevant after the real world events this spring and summer.

I should stress that the pandemics and whatnot did not inspire this story in any way, even if it might look that way. There's no meta commentary or anything going on, in case you'll end up wondering.

It's all just entertainment, so enjoy.
