June Work in Progress 1

Had to touch some grass after the last two big kits, but I'm back at work on the Hafoc frame~ I've been waiting to do a winged unit for a minute now, and I'm pretty excited for this one so far~ It's been coming together pretty smoothly so far and I'm makin a good pace, so I wanted to get a quick WIP set up here~

I'm not sure if I'll be modeling regular arms for this unit as I'm going for more of a harpy kind of set up, but I did make a torso that will be able to take any of the infantry scale arms, we'll see how things go~

So far so good~

This looks awesome! Looking forward to this one!

Yeah, if I had the smaller scale thigns modeled like the Lorcor, it would be, but there's a ton of internal clipping and such on the little ones~ With discord patreon has a little tutorial (https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266-Getting-Discord-access) for getting things linked and if that doesn't work shoot me a DM and I can send you a one use link~

Poyper

That is a fair point. My assumption was that no work would be needed by you, the risk would ly with whomever attempted what I was trying. It would be unfair if such a request put additional pressure on yourself. That aside, it seems I'm unable to connect to your discord. Not sure why but things don't seem to want to connect. 🤔

Honestly I don't really have any resources for stuff like that (/in general) as it's a completely different program to the one I use to model with. I know most people use it for stuff like this, and that there's a ton of tutorials for blender on youtube, and a bunch of people on the discord use it~ But outside of releasing a base mesh like this, I don't really intend to make the smaller scale sets like that. They're modeled without any tolerance because I never intended for them to be printed separately, and doing so would involve going back to every piece, breaking them apart and then remodeling them for tolerance. It would be pretty sysiphean on my end xD

Poyper

Ah. Since I don't know how to use blender I was just going hoping to print a crap ton of small bits and do it by hand. Do you have any references in order to learn what you suggested quickly?

Nate Kolb

There's a kitbash folder that has an unassembled TPose(ish) base frame in it for all of the little preposed infantry sets~ pretty much meant just for that. You just pop it into blender and pose away.

Poyper

I was wondering if you had considered a "makers" sculpt for more of the void where all the ball joints and arm/leg sections are "broken" open for more infinite posing options? I wouldn't expect each piece to be supported (I've already taught myself custom supporting) but not having to "partial print" things and then carefully "break" them just to hope to get a usable separate joint or piece would be greatly appreciated. I'd even be willing to pay a little extra for a complete set of files than were just a "pile of bits". Here's hoping. Great work though.

Haha, nice

Nahh there around the scale of the Aracort, so it'll just be a handful of preposed lower halves~

Poyper

So excited for this kit.

Aaron H

Noooo! Not the digi legs! I suck at posing those. Also, I'm totally making a chicken out of this kit.

LibertyBeta

Chicken booottt I already love them

so excited, found your stuff a few weeks ago and had to buy all the void stuff haha
