After getting all of the Cichlid stuff squared away I've been puttering along on the Base frame for the Commander Redux. This whole suit's like the sturgeon except at the scale of a fleet commander. A base frame that can be built off of for any number of armor configurations.
At this point I'm just getting into the upper leg so the detail there is a bit rough currently. The head and feet are currently placeholders while I work through the designs.

This mech will have an armor variant for both the ThiccFish as well as the StarFish 2 and 4 arm variants of courses, and the goal is to have both variants be magnetized. Each little gold disk detail in the base frame is a slot for either a 2x2mm or 3x2mm magnet, with a corresponding magnet slotted into the armor. (Fret not for those of you who aren't interested in magnets, there will be a version where those are just surface details~) Another detail that I'm working on is the shoulder. I've swapped the ball and socket so that the ball joint is the shoulder. This allows for significantly more poseablility at the shoulders which is something my suits struggled with without some filing/trimming. I can now say that they can finally T-Pose to assert battlefield domincance.

I'm *really* excited about this one and it's been a lot of fun working through the inner frame. And I can't wait to get into the armor~
