The photographer chose this as one of his favorites - and I couldn't agree more with him. When I usually pose for photos I try to elongate my torso and create a big, wide, and tapered presence. But in this photo, the photographer saw the opportunity to capture me as this sexy, beefy pin-up Santa.

As a burlesque performer and gogo dancer, I learned to love my body at all its sizes. This photo reminded me of how sexy my belly is and I can't thank him enough for keeping it in the set. Body positivity within the art form itself is a constant effort and journey for some. I'm really thankful to be in a place in my career and art where I practice self love and allow my art to grow.
