Bat dolls (mostly) painted!

First off: ears!
Trial and error is the name of the game. I sketched the shape I thought I wanted on paper, cut it out, held to the head and adjusted from there. Moved on to foam when I felt I had something good! Ended up with 3 tabs as attachment points- two on each corner, and one to pull it back into a curve. I'll be covering these in fabric- I opt to do foam and fabric because I won't have to worry about big ol sculpted ears snapping, and fabric means no cracked paint if they bend.
As far as painting, it's more of the usual. I've been using expired eyeshadows for pigment- works awesome!
Some fine eyeliner later, and a great effect with purple shimmer eyeshadow on black for the white ones eyelids!
Heart highlights in the eyes and.... they're not done, but that's because I'm a little stuck haha. Not sure what hair color the brown and pink, so they don't get eyebrows yet- and I'll probably come back and do some more makeup for them once I know their outfits. I also left their boots unpainted for the same reason
The white one's boots are very cute though, and will be getting buttons!
And finally, little hands!
Stay tuned, next post will at least have their ears finished up!
