WARNING: I'm going to be saying some intense language (Nothing too bad obviously, but I genuinely wanna say worse things if I could) But yeah f*ck Moon! Her entire reasoning doesn't make sense at all. She said the reason why she worked with Mina was because Eclipsa took her daughter away, but she clearly didn't. Moon went into that magical dimension after fighting Meteora on her own accord. It's not like Eclipsa forced her into that portal or anything, so blaming her is bullshit*t. Just because Eclipsa's daughter blasted you in the face and YOU decided to run away doesn't mean it's Eclipsa's fault, she didn't plan that to happen. And if I'm being honest I blame Moon there because if you remember, Eclipsa almost calmed down her rampaging daughter when she said "I love you" and then Moon attacked her when she didn't need to. Also I hated it so much when Moon said "You kept me from my daughter" when Moon was only missing for months at the MOST. When Eclipsa has been away from her daughter for 300 years. And I wish Eclipsa said something like "And this entire kingdom kept me away from my daughter for 300 years and gave her to a robot, and you never saw me try to take back the throne forcibly when it rightfully is mine" That was such a missed opportunity, that would have made me like something about this episode. But NOPE. For some reason Eclipsa has to be the bigger person and forgive Moon... Real talk, but I hate when media in general has the protagonist be the ones to be forgiving and give in, when someone does evil and f*cked up sh*t. There's a DIFFERENCE between being a b*itch, and holding someone accountable. And I wish Eclipsa was more upset with Moon. I don't care if Moon freed Globgor, because she also worked with a monsterphobic psychopath who's trying to kill him, so what was even the point in freeing him, other than to frame Eclipsa smh. The only person to hold Moon accountable is Star when Moon definitely should be getting a lot more flack and it disgusted me watching, to see Moon not get any hate when she caused so many to die. The only bad thing Eclipsa did was cheat on her ex husband, and make weird and questionable spells, like the mind control and spying spell. (BUT NO! THESE IDIOTS THINK THE WOMAN WHO FELL IN LOVE WITH A MONSTER IS THE EVIL ONE, NOT THE WOMAN WHO JUST COMMITTED MASS GENOCIDE???? WHY IS EVERYONE SO DUMB HERE?! 🤦) I feel like Moon was just using that as some lame excuse for power to be the queen again because who is she trying to convince with that poor excuse, lmao. And my thing is if she wanted to be queen again, just start a brand new kingdom. The butterfly castle is abandoned because the kingdom is located at the monster temple, and everyone staying at Moon's village hates Eclipsa and monsters. So I find it hard to believe that taking over Eclipsa's birthright over some power trip was her only option. And I know there'd technically be 2 kingdoms of Mewni if that happened, with one being inclusive of Monsters and Mewmens living together and the other not. But if it means the dumb racist people aren't going to attack innocent people unprovoked then I don't see an issue with it. I hate Moon more than I hate Belos/Phillip, and it's on a personal level because she gets no fault or punishment for causing the deaths of innocent people and being a bad and careless mother because she never explained anything to Star and it genuinely was always the same: "Star you don't understand" or "It's complicated" when she doesn't need to be this unnecessarily cryptic. And she knew full well her daughter has been staying at the monster temple to help Eclipsa out with her kingdom, but she sure didn't shown to be worried about Star staying there when she knew that's where Mina was going to strike. Whereas Belos brutally dies for what he did at the end, and Moon gets to sleep peacefully at night with ZERO consequences. (I know it may sound like a dumb reason to hate her more, and I'm not saying she needs to die. But at least SOMETHING, but again it's personal because of the bad writing, so don't judge me lol)

2025-07-21 03:45:40 +0000 UTCI really love your take on Moon because I think she represents a huge population of people who don’t create conflict but heavily nurture it (maybe like Cheeto head voters 🙄) because of missing context and political pressure. She grew up with pre-conceived beliefs of monsters because her mom was killed by one and the rest of her kingdom is in her ear against monsters. I don’t think her actions are correct. But I can understand where in her head what she did makes sense to her. She wanted to do nothing about Mina at first, and then did, and somehow thought she was stopping her from doing worse. On the other hand we see completely how she’s completely deflecting blame onto eclipsa, is terribly inconsiderate, lacks to take accountability, and was driven by her own world in her head, that she was living in, failing to see what’s outside. And I think that can apply to so many people in the world.

The only reason why this happened is because Moon kept these people from dealing with the reality like everyone else. And Moon also saids she never intended for the soldiers to attack monsters, even though she literally knew that all of the townspeople were racist a**holes and would attack monsters if given the POWER and she acts like this isn't a big deal. THEY'RE LITERALLY ABOUT TO CAUSE A GENOCIDE, AND THEY ALREADY WOUNDED VARIOUS CIVILLIANS. F**K MOON!!!!

Which is bull because the magic dimension makes people who are in it for too long lose their memories and will become childish so even if she was away from her family, she wouldn’t remember it.
