2025-01-22 22:22:49 +0000 UTCI can make a vid on this! it's a really hard balance but I go by ear. character and tonality comes from having your main distortion layer(s) - then giving enough space for a melody or tonal layer. it really depends on the type of drop your making but I'll make a video explaining ways that I do it

Something Iโve been struggling with is knowing when I have (or how to) achieve a full sound in my mixes, especially with the main bass and sustain, both separately and together. I often feel like Iโm either missing character and tonality or over-distorting everything. Do you have any advice on finding that balance and creating an even mix, both with the sounds individually and when grouped? How do you know when you've got a "full sound"? Thanks!!!!
