Cross Contamination: Let's Talk

Morning, Everyone.

I noticed that some people had an interest in Cross Contamination on my post the other day, so I wanted to talk about it a little.

Cross Contamination is a series that is close to my heart. It was my first every piece of erotic writing. No matter what the overall results of this discussion is, I still plan to finish it when I get the chance.

But there are some difficulties with the story. First and most painfully, it has just never been that popular. As much as I love the series, it has fairly low view counts and number of comments, which usually indicates low interest. I think there a lot of reasons for this. It was the first erotic writing I ever did, and I think the first few chapters are a little amateurish, which can make it hard to get into. And, like a lot of new authors, I sort of threw everything I found hot into it enthusiastically, which makes it feel like a bit of a "kitchen sink" story. I think a lot of people, when they get through the first few chapters, really like the characters and twists of the plot, but that can be a big ask.

In addition, there are some aspects of the plot that make it difficult to publish on Patreon.

So it leaves me in a bit of a bind. I want to continue working on the series, but it feels a little tricky to take time off of my other projects to work on a story that a significant chunk of my audience doesn't read.

But I would be happy to be proved wrong! If there is a greater hunger for more Cross Contamination, I would love to focus on the series more. As it is, I plan to slowly release more over time. I'm not done with the series yet.

Comments

I definitely liked the characters. The way Viktor and Reene were able to corrupt Gina and Cassie, turning them from decent women into complete depraves seeking constant masochistic humiliation, was masterful. I've rarely seen stories of corruption like these in Literotica, and I have no doubt that the story, with the whole family exposed to everyone they know and broken, both emotionally and financially, would be enough to finish the story. I'd say one or two more chapters would be enough.

Atm 13 is the last/latest chapter. How much more emphasis should Rabblelaid put on writing more, that's what this conversation topic is about.

Is Chapter 13 the last one available?

I actually didn't like the story too much. But I still think that you should finish it when you can.
