New Collaboration Announcement and My Weird Tech Names.

Hello everyone!

First off, I have an exciting announcement!

I was recently offered a special ongoing commission by Jack the Monkey, https://www.patreon.com/jackthemonkey another creator here on Patreon. It will work like this: a new chapter of my story for him will be released every month on his Patreon, with illustrations coming out periodically as well.

As a paying commissioner, he would be well within his rights to say that this story was only for his Patrons, but he had generously allowed me to share the story here on my page as well, in addition to any illustrations that are produced! There is one catch however: because of the nature of this arrangement, the story will have to stay permanently behind a paywall on my Patreon. I still don't plan on doing this for most of my releases, but this one was a special circumstance.

So what is the story?

It's called "A Bitch in Time" and it is a little different than my usual stories. It's a science fiction story of a brilliant young inventor and her younger brother. Wendy, the overconfident scientist, foolishly meddles in time travel, changing her life irrevocably... and falling into sexual corruption as the changes grow more and more extreme. Meanwhile, Wendy's brother finds himself transformed in even more serious ways... and also finds the changes much more to his liking...

It should be a great treat for my paying subscribers! The first chapter is going up at the same time as this post!

I also wanted to take the time to write about a smaller topic I find interesting.

I don't use OnlyFans in my stories.

Or rather, I do, but I don't call it that. Whenever I use OnlyFans in my stories, I call it Simpspace. It's not the only website or app I've renamed in my work. Here's a list off the top of my head.

OnlyFans - Simpspace

Twitch - Argus

Discord: Kaos

Instagram: Flicpix

Omegle/Chatroulette: Randochat

So why? What's the point? It certainly has a cost to do it this way. When I use a made-up name, I need to pause and explain what the service is, which takes up space and could cause confusion. I think the immediate thought people have is copyright. And that plays a part. In the very unlikely circumstance that I sell these stories in book form someday, I would want to have non-copywrited versions of these services.

But that's not the main reason. I would break it down into two larger concerns:

1) Dating the story. Services change all the time. Imagine someone years back wrote a story about a Tumblr blog filled with pornographic content. It might not even make sense to someone unfamiliar with how Tumblr used to be. OnlyFans has flirted with the idea of dropping NSFW content, shockingly. Creating my own versions of the services that can always work how I intend them to keeps my stories from feeling quite so out of touch years from now. Not to mention the fact that, if in ten years OnlyFans is a dead service, it might actually be good for my story to stop and explain what the service is.

2) Because I'm a dumbass that doesn't like to do research if I don't have to. In my story "The Hottie in the Mirror", I made a fraternity called "The Birchwood Society". I took great pains to emphasize that they were like a fraternity in a lot of ways, but they were actually something not quite the same. So why didn't I just make them a frat? Because I was fairly certain frats don't work like I wanted the Birchwood Society to function in my story. So I fudged it. A lot of my website equivalents serve the same purpose. I have never actually used OnlyFans, likewise I'm not a big user of Instagram, Omegle, or Twitch. It's possible, even likely, that if I use OnlyFans in my story, I will fuck up something about how it works. I can't fuck up how Simpspace works: it works exactly how I imagine it.

So there you have it, the reason I make up fake websites in my stories!
