A New Experiment: Serial Rough Draft Updates: Downward Dog 2: Part A!

Good news and bad news.

Bad news: I don't think I will be able to work on the promised sequel to "The Cool Mom" for this week, because I really want to focus on Downward Dog part 2. In related news, it had been a month, so "The Cool Mom" will be releasing on Literotica on Wednesday! I quite enjoyed that story, so I hope it does well. Make sure to head over there and show it some love if you don't mind. I think seeing other comments encourages people to comment more.

Good News: I have gotten a start with the writing of Downward Dog 2. And I thought it would be interesting to try an experiment. You see, when I write commissions, I frequently give periodic updates to the commissioner to show them the progress and request feedback. I like this style of working. It gives me a chance to shape the work as it goes, and correct if I am going off the rails. Many commissioners commented that it was fun and exciting to have the works presented in "serial style" with short chunks coming out regularly.

So I thought, if it works for commissions, could a similar thing be worth exploring for my non-commissioned works with my patrons? I thought I would give it a try. I have attached the first section of Downward Dog part 2. I have a few questions as well, if anyone has the time to respond in the comments.

Let me know what you think of this style of updates in the poll below. If you would prefer to remain unspoiled, and would like to read the full story when it is completed, please do not read the attached document! This is just the first part of what will be a longer story!

Questions for discussion:

1. This section represents a time jump from the last story, as is common in my freelancer stories. Does it feel like things have moved forward too far in Jackie and Heather's relationship?

2. Downward dog focuses on two main components: Petplay and Cuckqueaning. This first section focuses more on the petplay, with the next part focusing more on cuckqueaning. Which aspect of the plot is more interesting to you? Or are they equal?

3. Heather is asked in this section to participate in her own degradation by choosing a puppy name for herself. I haven't definitively chosen one yet. Any ideas? It should be feminine and sound like a dog name. Leaning toward "Daisy" but I feel like there could be a better option.

4. Rick Carver will continue to be a problem in this section. I find it sort of interesting: a lot of authors focus on women being seduced and humiliated by disgusting, brutish men. I, on the other hand, tend to focus on women hooking up with men who are mean, but often suave and handsome. Rick Carver is my attempt to dip my toe into that other kind of plot. What do you think? Do you prefer erotic stories were women have sex with unattractive men, or with cruel handsome men?

5. I'm curious about your thoughts in general. Did you like this section? Dislike it? Are there parts that could have been better? Keep in mind that this is a very early alpha draft, and if you did have feedback, it could really help improve the final story!
