What If? Freelancer Reversals

I received an interesting question yesterday about my Freelancer stories, and I thought it would be fun to answer in detail.

In all of the Freelancer stories, Faria offers her target a choice: if they double the clients payment, they can escape their fate, or even reverse the punishment back on the person who hired Faria originally.

In most cases, the target does not pay Faria, although the reversal has happened a few times (which is why I included the plot device in the first place). But what if they had? What would have happened in the plots if the targets had paid up? To me, it’s a fun thought experiment. I’ve even considered if they would make good stories in their own right, although at this point it seems like I have too many story ideas and not enough writing time these days!

The issue with some of these is that the series is deeply focused on female submissiveness. I’m not sure exactly what a Freelancer story with a male target looks like (apart from The Hottie in the Mirror, where the male target becomes a female target).

In the end, I think some of these would be interesting stories and others wouldn’t, but here is my best guess what the characters would do if fate had been different:

1. Miss Udders: Based on Lily Uden’s character, she would almost certainly pay the money and walk away, disgusted by the very idea of sexually corrupting Tyler. But that’s not a very fun answer. If I stretched her character a bit, maybe Lily would be intrigued by the idea of putting Tyler in his place and helping all the people he’s hurt get their revenge on him.  She would fill a class with senior girls that Tyler had bullied or snubbed in the class and hypnotize Tyler into being her TA. The girls would cook up all kinds of humiliating ways for him to assist them. Lily would probably stand aloof at first, insisting that this was all about letting the girls have their revenge, but eventually get into the spirit of things and help to degrade Tyler personally.
2. The Wicked Stepdaughter: Avani Rao would jump at the chance to directly control and corrupt Madeline. She was already planning on humiliating Madeline and her father, and this would just put her plan into overdrive. Avani already sees Madeline as a whore, and Faria abilities would allow her to make that a reality. She would manipulate Madeline into having sex with all of her father’s business associates and employees, all the way down to the janitors, before revealing it all at his forced retirement at his birthday party.
3. Slight of Mind: Becky Hex is mostly interested in Ramon for his money and prestige. She also thinks that he exploits the power imbalance between him and his female employees. I think this would turn into a findom story. She would force Ramon to work for her. Becky would make Ramon a pathetic simp, draining his bank account as he became hopelessly devoted to her.
4. The Hottie in the Mirror: Since this story already involves a reversal, we know exactly what Alex wanted if Anton hadn’t been able to come up with the money. He wanted Anton to be turned gay, they become the house slut of his fraternity. As you will see below as well, I tend to use throwaway concepts that I would never actually write for the original plans in reversal stories. I think it’s important to have clearly defined personal boundaries when you write erotica, and one of the boundaries that I have set for myself is not to write stories where someone’s genuine sexuality is forcibly changed. That being said, I write plenty of stories about bisexual people in denial who uncover their attraction to the other gender, which I recognize is a fine distinction. Also, while I salute all the great writers out there making Gay erotica, it doesn’t interest me personally unless you count feminization stories (which I don’t).
5. Art Exhibitionism: This one is tricky. I think I know exactly how Zoe Abiola would want to punish Devon. I just don’t think it would be very sexy. Zoe would force Devon to become an artist in his own right, doing performance pieces designed to parody the exposure and sexuality expected from performing women. The problem is that, while this would undoubtedly be humiliating, I don’t find the idea of Devon being publicly exposed to be arousing at all.
6. Downward Dog: This is another reversal story, so we know what Heather’s plan was. She wanted Jackie to become the sexual relief toy of some lonely old men in a nursing home. I actually chose this as Heather’s plan because it is a corruption plot I never actually plan to write. The whole old/young thing just isn’t a fetish that particularly interests me.
7. Dollar Swine: Blair Beaumont would be so angry at the very idea of Owen trying to punish her that her punishment would be very cruel indeed. Owen would become her personal slave, paid only in humiliating dominant sexual favors, with a focus on Analingus. Eventually, he would sell his business and give up all his possessions to become Blair’s personal properties.
