Took the words right out of my mouth. The day the news hit I was texting Sam about it and crying in my kitchen... just to think that someone (and their supporters) could treat other human beings like that twisted my guts up. And, all the meme music and internet jokes made me question, “did we fucking create these people?” It’s... a lot. But, you’re not wrong. I’m not sure re: NZ’s history with violence, but in the States we keep asking how many more have to be slain before someone does something about weapon laws and standards. It’s a major bummer. Much love! We’ve got your back and always want to keep a breezy place for folks to speak freely wherever we go. Life’s too short not to be kind to one another. (Alessio)

Bro you just fucking summed up exactly how I feel. The sadness from the initial attacks was shocking here, But what's making it so much worse for people like me is the realisation that people fucking think like this guy here in my small ass country that I was naive enough to think didn't encourage this kind of shit. And what's got me in tears right now as I type this is I've been pretty much alienated from my friends because Ive been vocal about the fact that I think guns should be illegal here. I'm just lucky to have my girl and my best friend because Im not going to change how I feel about that. I'm so sorry for the rant, but you've helped me alot in the last 48 hours thru some dark times and it's nice to be able to express how I feel about this all withouth being threatened or attacked. The community you've created is beautiful and an example for others!! Thanks so much

We can only imagine. It's not helpful that the assailant was essentially a 4Chan shit-post come to life, either. The most disheartening thing about the ripple-out was how many disgusting comments people left with genuine seriousness on the videos and posts that sprang up. Realizing that the darkness goes so much deeper makes it somehow even more painful. I cannot imagine being in the midst of regional politics in that area. Some of the opinions that surfaced shortly after seemed VERY disturbing. Godspeed and much love. For every sick group of psychos, hopefully there's a corner of warmth like what we've got here. Thanks for being a part of our "good guy" community.

Couldn't agree more with Joshua, at this point I'm in it just to hear your guys banter, you're so fucking funny. I'm not trying to be dramatic or attention seeking in anyway but I've been genuinely pretty depressed by what happened in my city two weeks ago here in NZ. Not much can make me laugh right now but I was listening to the metal rear solid episode last night while cleaning up around the house and you guys had me and my girlfriend pissing ourselves laughing at the kitchen sink. I can't put a word to how grateful I am for your guys hard work, please just know that if it ever feels like a grind to you guys, there are people out there like me who genuinely feel better after listening to you guys. Thanks alot guys.
